Fun recruitment, the Alimaton way

Context

The aim that both ANIA and the food industry hoped to achieve was to enhance the appeal of their sector by giving young people a sense of vocation. From strategy to execution, 148 Agency notably supported this promotional task in terms of the design and creation of a global system for facilitating recruitment fairs.

Context

The strategic food industry was suffering from something of an image problem and recruitment was suffering as a result (with some 100,000 positions to be filled between 2014 and 2016). All of the players involved (the food-processing industry, the public authorities, training bodies, agricultural cooperatives, etc.) were concerned by this and wanted to rectify the situation.

Challenge

How do you promote the food industry and make young people want to forge themselves careers in the industry?

Strategy.

Alimaton is a turnkey system that can be used to facilitate recruitment fairs.

Alimaton app

The Alimaton app aims to raise awareness among young people of the jobs available to them in the food industry by introducing them to some of the roles that correspond to their profiles. It works as follows, independently and without the need to be connected:

  1. ‘I like’/’I don’t like’ questionnaire
  2. Two potential roles presented
  3. Fun photo
  4. Printout summarising the role, along with the applicant’s photo

A video tutorial was also incorporated in the app to directly explain how to use it. Recruiters in
the area can obtain a qualified database by synchronising or sending an email, enabling them
to compile a body of statistics and applicant profiles.

Associated sites: Alishop and Aliprint

148 Agency created the following two sites and made them available to recruiters in the area for the purposes of centralising the management of the Alimaton system and communications at exhibitions and fairs:

  • Alishop: ordering and replenishment of consumables
  • Aliprint: ordering and downloading of communications kits (flyers, HD documents, press releases, e-mail campaigns, banners, etc.)

Measures implemented

148 Agency therefore completed the following tasks with a view to implementing the Alimaton system in its entirety:

  • Consultancy
  • Design: app, turnkey communications kit
  • Creation of a graphics theme
  • Development and configuration
  • Production of a video tutorial
  • Launch of the Alishop and Aliprint sites

Results

The Alimaton turnkey system provided a fun way of raising awareness among young people and helped significantly increase the number of applications.
